about...

We chose to buy this beautiful Auberge in April 2015 because it included a restaurant and rooms with magnificent décor. In addition, Nominingue offers us nature in its purest form and the tranquility that we saught. Heiko arrived in Canada from Germany with his parents at the age of 8. He completed a 4-year apprenticeship in major hotels in Toronto, graduated with the red seal and now has 35 years experience as a chef. Nancy, a native of Lac-St-Jean, spent 34 years in Toronto, where she had a 30 year nursing career. Together, we now follow our dream, Heiko as owner of his restaurant and Nancy, at his side in this new context, pursuing her passion for warm personal interaction with all those she meets here - rewarding challenges for both of us. We are pleased to share our success with our fellow citizens of Nominingue where we have helped raise money for different organizations and instituted a Disc Golf course, our newest project. We feel that our community involvement is appreciated and the support we receive is encouraging and keeps us stimulated.
